For snowmen (and stomach bugs unfortunately) and Advent. We are not religious, but celebrate this season with crafting, giving, kindness, baking, and all sorts of holiday family fun.
A few of the highlights so far:
The kids and I handed out candy canes with messages of cheer and taped quarters to all of the candy/sticker machines outside our local grocery store.
Our dried apple goblins (we did ours something like this) from Halloween make great Elves!
We try to decorate Thank You cards ahead of time, so sending them after the holidays is more likely to happen (I may be guilty of finding unsent cards months later–oops).
Holiday decorations from nature: Our own beeswax candle in a holiday centerpiece of moss and lichen, antler found several springs ago, birch bark chain (just bend and staple), winter berries and hemlock boughs.
More fun to come: decorating the tree, lighting up the porch, and building at ice bar for our holiday bash!
